Common questions
How do I find the cheapest petrol in my area?
Pick your postcode area below, then your district, to see the cheapest forecourts within five miles ranked by price. Or enter your full postcode on the home page for the exact forecourts around you. Typical petrol across the UK right now is 161.9p a litre and diesel 182.9p, from 7,997 forecourts as of 10:00 on 28 August 2026.
Why is petrol cheaper in some areas than others?
Local competition is the biggest factor. Where a supermarket or a busy independent sets a low price, nearby forecourts tend to follow, so prices cluster low in some districts and stay high in others only a few miles away. That is why the district you fill up in can matter more than the brand on the sign.
How current are the prices on these pages?
Every price is the forecourt's own submission to the official Fuel Finder scheme, which requires a change to be reported within 30 minutes. These pages are rebuilt twice a day and were last updated at 10:00 on 28 August 2026.
